Biography

A Graduate of CNSM Paris and former Menuhin Academy student, 21 y/o French-Portuguese violinist and violist Clément Pimenta is already enjoying a very active artistic career in France and abroad.

As a chamber musician, he has performed in festivals with world-renowned artists (such as Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Zlatomir Fung, Jean-Claude Vanden-Eyden, Michel Strauss, Marc Danel, Guillaume Chillemme, François Salque, David Grimal, Claire Désert, Claudio Bohórquez...) on major international stages in France (Philharmonie de Paris, Prime Minister Palace), The UK (London Cadogan Hall), Ukraine (Kyiv National Philharmonic), Italia (Auditorium di Cagliari), Romania (Sala Palatului), Lithuania (Vilnius National Philharmonic)...
He performs regularly alongside French-Vietnamese pianist Oscar Nguyen, with whom he recently created the Faust Piano Trio with Swiss-French cellist Cyprien Lengagne.

Regularly invited to perform in major ensembles, he is a member of Les Dissonances/Paris since 2021 and has played alongside the Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de Lille, Appassionato (Dir. Mathieu Herzog), Morroco National Philharmonic...

He appears in the media on France Musique, Arte Concert, France TV, Recithall, Diapason…

Having discovered art through viola, Clément's eclectic path led him to receive advices from many great teacher (admitted by age 15 at Paris CNSM, he was a student of Juliette Danel, Jean Sulem, Marc Desmons, Odile Auboin, Adrien La Marca); Clément then felt the urge to complete his artistic life by studying violin (with Prof. Marc Danel), photography and sound-engineering (receiving commissions from artists such as the Trio Pantoum, Adèle Ginestet...). He now does all these activities and likes this plurality to define his art.

He receives support from Fondation Meyer and Fonds de Tarazzi.
